Photography

My interest in photography started my senior year in high school. I was looking for an excuse to visit my brother in Australia during my senior project. so my Mom came up with the idea of getting a photography internship for a surfing magazine. Perfect!

The only problem is I live in Pennsylvania..

I contacted Jason Murray, the former photo editor of Surfer Magazine and current photo consultant for Quiksilver, to get some advice as to where to start my surf photography "career". Jason was able to give me some great advice for starting out and I still, to this day, e-mail him whenever I have questions in regards to surf photography.

While in Australia, I realized how much I really enjoyed photography.

From that trip on, whether it be a waterproof throw away or a more technical camera, I have had a camera with me. From fishing in Canada to hiking in Ireland to surfing in Costa Rica. I have had a camera with me.

This is just an introduction to myself and throughout the year I will update the site with new pictures and stories from my trips.
